Get cozy with this rag quilt throw. Perfect for snuggling on the sofa or just for decor. measures 56 inches square. I used Heather Bailey's Pop Garden fabrics in gold and turquoise palettes and the back is a buttery soft 100% cotton muslin the color of oatmeal. . I have already washed and dried to start the ragging process. I make my rag quilts with designer fabrics on top, a layer of 100% ALL NATURAL cotton batting in the center, the batting is long staple, virgin cotton that is needle punched with fine needles and about as 'green' as it can get. The back has 100% ALL NATURAL unbleached cotton muslin the color of oatmeal. All edges have been cut and frayed, washed and dried to give it a nice soft, cozy feel. Rag quilts originated in the frontier when people lived too far away to go to stores, nothing could be wasted. They were made with many different types of recycled fabrics. Today we cut and fray them to give them that 'old timey' look. Machine wash and dry.
