Preserve those special baby clothes that you can't bear to part with in a memory rag quilt. Mail me the clothing you would like included (enough for 48 7x7 inch squares). I will try to make sure I get the good part of the clothing, such as a mongram or an applique or something special that might be on the clothing (I cannot guarantee I can always get it). You can see close up pictures above for examples. Convo me for questions. After purchase I will email you the address to send the clothing to. Quilt measures 36x45 inches square approximately. I make my rag quilts with designer fabrics on top, a layer of 100% ALL NATURAL cotton batting in the center, the batting is long staple, virgin cotton that is needle punched with fine needles and about as 'green' as it can get, and the back has 100% ALL NATURAL unbleached cotton muslin the color of oatmeal on the back. All edges have been cut and frayed, washed and dried to give it a nice soft, cozy feel. Rag quilts originated in the frontier when people lived too far away to go to stores, nothing could be wasted. They were made with many different types of recycled fabrics. Today we cut and fray them to give them that 'old timey' look. Machine wash and dry. Because of the nature of these quilts I cannot offer any refunds on them, so please look at my feedback for references on my work.
