MONDAY IS ALL ABOUT FABRIC – #41 – Liberty Society

Let’s sip tea and get comfy

Hey friends.

Today, I’m getting my holiday spirit on with Harney & Sons Holiday tea.  It’s another black tea and is very similar to my usual love, but this one is a bit nutty.  I like!

This past week my November bundle for Liberty Society has arrived and I couldn’t be more happy with the ‘Christmas-ish’ colors.  Let’s take a look.

Today’s fabric picks

Liberty Society is a monthly subscription club.  You receive 10 prints every month.  The club is designed to help you build your Liberty stash economically.  Ready more details about Liberty Society here.  Lust over all things Liberty here.

This month’s bundle included (you’ll notice that some of the links are not active, this is because some prints are only available as part of the Liberty Society Club):

Ava & Neve Liberty Art Fabrics Brisbane

I’ve been receiving the Liberty Society club bundles now since early spring 2017 and I’m so happy to be a member of this club.  I love these beautiful florals arriving at my door each month.  Visit Ava and Neve here.

Here are the reds included in this month.  So cheery.

And the greens.  This one is my favorite.  It’s actually more turquoise.  It’s called ‘Sarah D’.

I also really like this green, called ‘Chive B‘.

Product Spotlight

This book is dedicated to Liberty of London fabrics.  It features 25 easier projects, perfect for the beginner sewists.

I’ve some news to share.  I’m going to be launching a new sew-along.  I’ve been getting my Liberty Society monthly bundles since last Spring and I’ve only made one quilt with them.  I’ve got a hefty collection now.   I have cut some of them for a quilt I mentioned making last month, so some of them are already being used, but I’d like to make a quilt with nothing but Liberty fabrics as well.  This sew-along will be managed just a little bit differently than my others.  It will be a pay sew-along (a one time fee of $5) and it will be monthly with an email and PDF pattern for each block emailed directly to you.  I’m really excited about the design and I can’t wait to show it to you.

You of course will not have to use particular fabrics.  Feel free to shop your stash.  There will be more details coming soon in January, along with sign ups.  I’m hoping to make this very community oriented and include an Instagram direct message group for chatting and getting to know you purposes.  My quilt alongs are usually fairly small and intimate, which can be a good thing.  I was thinking that getting to chat in a group might make this feel like a real life sewing retreat (which I have never been able to go to).   I don’t know about you, but I sew alone and it gets kinda lonely over here.

I’m hoping to kick this off February 1.  It would help out a lot if I could gauge interest to make better plans.  If you think you might want to join, please leave me a comment or contact me here.  This isn’t the official sign ups, so don’t think if you tell me you are interested this is written in stone.

  1. I love quilt alongs and I think charging a small fee is a great idea. I can tell how much work you put into them.
