🤎
I’m planning on giving away three PDF copies tomorrow (if you already purchased the pattern and win you can have a different pattern). More on that Saturday morning! 😘

Second pic is from sweet Roni of @clearcreekquilts . I love that she made hers in all solids, everything about it pops. I’m also loving the design with all the “claws” in the same fabric.
🤎
I am LOVING seeing all of these! 🐻🐻🐻🐻 and just love seeing how the look changes depending on the maker. Everyone has their own style and the differences make everything more interesting and fun. Don’t you think?! ☺️
For those asking, we have restocked more bundles o For those asking, we have restocked more bundles of Funshine (shown in this quilt) for #sugarbearquilt over @meanderandmake . We had to change three of the fabrics, but it’s still so pretty and orange! There’s also a background option if you are interested. If you click a background option on the site it will show you what these fabrics look like with that background, which is so helpful when you are as obsessed with shades of white solids like me. ☺️

Hey lovelies!  I wanted to show you the French seam today.  It’s pretty easy and has a lovely finish.  Before we jump in…. if you are looking for the free motion quilting tutorial for this particular pillow top I’m working with, you’ll find it here.  If you are liking the fabrics:  the gold is here and the aqua floral here. Seam Methods Zig Zag Seam – This method is the quickest, and you can use it for any type of pillow and for any reason.  Think of it as the go-to method.  It’s meant to be similar to...

How to Turn a Quilt Block into a Pillow – Zig Zag Seam

Hey lovelies!  We are talking about turning blocks into pillows today.  I’ve got directions and a video below, but first let’s talk about when and what. There will be three of these posts, because there are three methods I use often enough and it’s all about that seam.  There is reasoning for each of them though. Seam Methods Zig Zag Seam – This method is the quickest, and you can use it for any type of pillow and for any reason.  Think of it as the go-to method.  It’s meant to be similar to a serged edge when...

Gratitude + Something Gold + Video Tutorial for Chunky Stitch Binding

So many things to say today.  It’s November and November is a month for giving gratitude.  I have so many reasons to be thankful, family, friends, health and home, health of my loved ones.  I could list these bits all day long, but this is a quilting blog and I try hard not to get off topic and ramble.  You are here for quilting, I know.  But I wanted to say that I am thankful for you just showing up here.  I’m grateful that this business has been supporting me and my family for years and I have...

A New Dresden Quilt Runner with Michael Miller fabrics – Sewing Finish

I’ve been an ambassador for Michael Miller fabrics since early this year and they have been sending me the yummiest of fabrics to play with, but these lovelies that arrived just a few weeks ago really had me swooning. I don’t get to make many things besides quilts, I’m obsessively focused, you see, but I’m always so thrilled when I do take the time to make a little something.  They are smaller so you can give them more umph without it taking up all of your time. One thing I don’t have much of around my house is...

Christmas in July Quilted Pillows with Piping

I have always wanted to decorate with handmade decorations come Christmastime, but just can never find the time to get anything done in the month of December.  So when Susan over at Michael Miller asked if I’d write a Christmas in July post I was all in. Thinking of Christmas in July would be something the opposite of me would do.  I only consider Christmas in December.  I don’t plan.  I don’t buy gifts early.  I do all last minute, except for maybe food.  🙂   The Next Quilt Along starts this September!     The Poinsettia print...

Another Easy Machine Cover – This time for the Juki

Peeps!  I am so dying over these machine covers.  So many years without one and now I have two of them!  One for each of the machines.  Absolutely thrilled!   Custom Quilt Labels     You might remember last week’s post with the free pattern for the machine cover, well, I used the same pattern to make this one.  I just changed the panels up.  This is the machine cover I worked up with the sew along from here.  While everyone else was making that cute caravan, I was doing this.  I did end up having to...

Coats and Clark Embroidery Panels + My Cacti Embroidery Pillow (a tutorial)

Hello, my darling Readers! Today’s post is a sponsored post by Coats and Clark.  I’m sure you remember me working with Coats and Clark before when we did the Star Dance Quilt Along back in August.  By the way, I’m still quilting almost exclusively with their Quilt+ thread.  It’s just so thick and luscious. Well, they saw that I also enjoyed embroidery from this post and asked if they could send me some of their brand new embroidery panels that they teamed up with Natalie Malan to make.  And since I had no embroidery projects going at the moment...

Why I LOVE embroidery – Signature fabrics Embroidery Pillow – ( sewing finish )

Last week I completed my most favorite pillow ever.  I’m calling it my favorite because of the most perfect to me fabrics I used and the most time consuming embroidery work I’ve ever done.  I carried the embroidery part around for a month stabbing at it with my needle over and over and over again. Today I wanted to share why I so love embroidery and what it means to me.     Where I learned to embroider I learned how to embroidery in a Creativebug class.  This one here.  I was addicted from the very start, but even...

Sprucing Up – Boho inspired Dresden pillow (sewing finishes)

My niece asked for bows and I started making them.  They are no-sew and just need a hot glue gun (I used this tutorial).  I liked them so much I made some for myself.  Not really to wear, but maybe. Then I got into my crochet lace stash, and after that I made the little flower blooms (tutorial here) and stuck them on brooch pins.  I started this project right after this one, so I was coming off a Dresden plate high and didn’t want the Dresdens to end. All of this led to this bohemian inspired idea of...
