Monday is all about Fabric – #45 – The AGF fabrics I’m using for The Morning Sun QA + A Giveaway

Let’s sip tea and get comfy

It’s Monday.  I know, I know, some of you don’t like Mondays, but that is why I’ve chose THIS day in particular to always post about fabrics.  Hopefully, the fabric gushing makes it a little better?  Find all Monday posts here.

Today, I’m drinking my usual tea, this one.  It is my favorite and fills the whole room with a cinnamon and clove scent.

Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post, I’m having a giveaway.

I had to share these adorable vintage quilt mugs I found on Create For Less.  Definitely adding these to my wish list!

Saturday, I came out with my big news, the starting of the Morning Sun quilt along.  You can read more about this quilt along here.

This custom bundle of AGF prints is what I'm using for the quilt I'll be making with all who are joining in.  I'm pretty smitten.

Let's get down to the nitty gritty and show you exactly what print is what...

Low volumes I'm using:

Prints I'm using

I mentioned this past Saturday that there is an option for the quilt along where you can have all the fabrics cut into correct sizes and delivered to your door each month.  If you are interested in doing this, please visit the details for that here.

This fabric, Stitched Anthromania by Pat Bravo is my favorite I'm using in this quilt.  I do consider it to be a low volume, but it's a bit of a loud one, isn't it?  It gets used in the inner corners of the Morning Sun quilt.

This one is called Clover Field.  Remember last week when we were discussing how to put fabrics together.  One of the methods, was to choose a focal print and add fabrics based on what coordinated with your focal print.  Well, I used that method in choosing these fabrics and this fabric was my focal print.  I think it's stunning.

My favorite part of this quilt is that it looks like one large quilt block.  The next best thing to me is that it uses a whole bunch of low volume fabrics and that means LOTS of negative space.

Here's another favorite fabric print, Remembrose Doilies.   I love the delicate roses and that yummy mint color.

If you haven't signed up for the quilt along there is still plenty of time.  We are not starting until February 1.  If you wanted to sign up for the fabrics delivered to your door, there is limited quantities available, so I'd suggest doing that soon.  Read about the fabric subscription here.

Sign up for the quilt along here.
