Sawtooth Star Contest (separate from quilt along!)
To kick off the quilt along, I thought we’d have a fun little contest with some YUMMY prizes! Please note however, that this contest is a party starter, you DO NOT have to join in the contest to participate in the quilt along or vice versa.
What’s the Sawtooth Star Contest?
Make a small sawtooth star project. You can use any of the blocks from the Little Miss pattern or use the PDF block pattern that comes with signing up for the contest.
You can just make the block and use that as your entry or you can turn the block into anything you want. Think mini quilts or pillows, baskets, pincushions, etc. Whatever your heart desires. The sawtooth star can be any size you want it to be.

The Prizes
I will be giving away three prizes in three fun categories.
- BESTEST Ever Prize – The most creative entry will win this prize! – Winner will receive free longarm quilting provided by Beth of Modernly Stitched (does not include batting or any shipping fees), a surprise gift from Havel’s Sewing, and $50 voucher from Meander + Make
- Patchwork YUMMY Prize – This prize will go to someone with great patchwork skill or great color or fabric combo! – Winner will receive a surprise gift from Havel’s Sewing and a $50 voucher from Meander + Make
- LOVE that Picture Prize – As the name says, this prize will go to the coolest photo. – Winner will receive a surprise gift from Havel’s Sewing and a $50 voucher from Meander + Make
*Please note that Havel’s Sewing only ships to US address. If you do not have a US address to ship to, this part of the prize is forfeited.
When
The contest will begin July 1. You can enter your project anytime between now and July 24. I will announce winners on July 27 (the day before the quilt along begins).
Get Entered
There is a $10 fee to enter the contest and be eligible for the prizes. YOU CAN ENTER HERE. After you pay the entry fee, there are two PDFs that come with it: The first PDF contains the rules for the contest and a link to the entry form (below). The second PDF is a Sawtooth Star block pattern with three different size sawtooth stars. Password to enter is included on the PDF.
You will be able to see all the other entries once you use the password to enter the contest.
