Monday is all About Fabric – #92 – Stack of Low Volume

Today’s post is part of a series on this blog every Monday.

I don’t know about you, but fabric is EVERYTHING!  I love buying it, petting it and then gushing with you about it.  I’ll show you my latest fabric purchases and where you can buy it too.

Not sure if you noticed this series was on hiatus over the holidays, but now we are back to our regularly scheduled posts.  It didn’t matter that I didn’t post any of my bundles, because in all honesty I’ve gotten no new fabrics since the last post.

This bundle of low volume fabrics was much needed as is just more fabrics in general.  I must be not re-supplying quick enough because I’m at an all time low.  I was pulling fabrics for my Bad Girl quilt and just couldn’t find anything I liked or at least enough of something I liked.  This might be a laughable statement for someone who was a layman, but if you are a quilter, I’m sure you know just what I mean.  I seem to have a lot of fabrics that I’ve been picking over for years and all that’s left is those fabrics.  Is there such a thing as a fabric stash remodel?  If there is, then please point me in that direction.

Onto low volumes….

I love adding just a smidgen of black to my low volumes used in my quilts!  Also, these particular set of low volume fabrics is what I’d call the non-busy ones.  If you are having trouble creating your low volume scrappy look limit how many busy prints you would add to the mix.  Keeping it non-busy makes for a more clean look.

This Week

On Wednesday I’m showing off my latest rescue quilt and talking about my goals for the year, and this Friday I have a quilt reveal for a recent Little Miss quilt I finished up with purples and lavenders.

Hugs until then, sweet friends!
