Sometimes it's the little details that make the wh Sometimes it's the little details that make the whole quilting design come together. 🌸 Here's another snippet from Lesson 6 of **Quilt It Already!** Today I'm drawing two of the designs I'll be using on my Faefolk quilt: tiny pebbles and swirls for filling those awkward little spaces, and my Easy Swirl Flower. The fillers help connect our larger designs, while the Easy Swirl Flower gives us another pretty floral motif to work into the quilting. We're practicing on paper for now, but in the upcoming lessons, I'll show you how I actually stitch these designs onto the quilt! Want to quilt along with me? This one is my feathered toothpaste swirl, complete with those fancy feathered plumes and all the little details that make it so pretty. I love playing with designs on paper before I ever start quilting. It gives me a chance to figure out how everything flows together. And don't worry, we're not stopping at the drawing board! Here’s a little peek at what I’m planning for the Here’s a little peek at what I’m planning for the quilting on my Faefolk quilt! 🌸 I’ve been playing around with flowers, feathers, swirls, and tiny little fillers, figuring out how I want everything to flow together across the quilt. I’m going with an all-over quilting design, but instead of repeating just one motif, I’m combining several designs to create something a little more intricate and whimsical. These are my actual drawings and the plan I’m working from! This is all part of Quilt It Already!, my new quilting class where we’re taking those finished quilt tops out of the closet and finally getting them quilted.
