Monday is all about Fabric – #63 – Herb Garden in Mint focal print

It’s Monday!  That means we talk fabric.  Picture me clapping my hands with childlike excitement.

I love fabric, I LOVE fabric!

Amalfi Mint Herb Garden Yardage SKU# 8044-03  I have built a sweet little fabric collection surrounding Cotton + Steel’s Herb Garden in mint (see it here).

This is one of the most scrumptious shades of turquoise my hands have ever petted.  I’ve been knee deep in my own garden lately planting sweet little pretties and this print reminds me of just that.

Get yourself comfy with something to sip beside you and let’s gush over fabrics.

Like I mentioned above, today’s fabric bundle was based off the fabric to the left in the picture.

Here’s what we are looking at:

Using the Herb Garden for a focal print, I added all the other prints.  I have a post about how to mix fabrics using three different methods right here.

I am into florals and tonals/basics more and more lately and pairing them with low volumes is even better.  I don’t normally use a lot of Cotton + Steel, and I don’t know why it’s always so perfect when I’m working with it.  The colors are just great, and I really love everything that Anna Bond comes out with, ESPECIALLY her florals.

News

I am almost done with my big thread article I’ve been working for almost two weeks now.  I didn’t realize how detailed I was going to get, but there was much to discuss and your comments and thoughts were extremely helpful and eye opening.  I think I tried almost everything my readers mentioned.

I have a few more spools of thread to test before I’m ready to post.  I’m hoping to be ready this Friday, but we’ll see.  Stay tuned.  And again thanks so much for your feedback.  It was very eye opening and I’ve been a bit in the dark when it comes to thread.  Hugs!
