Dilly Dally Blocks 25 + 26: The Challenge Is Real ๐

Dilly Dally Blocks 25 + 26:
The Challenge Is Real ๐
The next two Dilly Dally blocks are here! ๐
Blocks 25 and 26 just went live over in Quilt Class, and Iโm not even going to pretendโthese were tough. Honestly, I think theyโve been the most challenging ones in the whole quilt so far.
That saidโฆ theyโre also some of the most beautiful. If youโre up for a bit of a stretch and want to show off that skill youโve been building block by block, these two are going to feel so satisfying once youโve got them done.
Iโve updated the pattern to include both blocks, and there are full video lessons now waiting for you inside Quilt Class. Youโll also find a few pics from my process (aka proof that I lost a few points on my HSTsโbut hey, thatโs how it goes sometimes, right? ๐ ).
The goal isnโt perfectionโitโs progress and joy in the making. Always. ๐
About HSTs
Half-square triangles (HSTs) have a way of looking simpleโฆ until you’re deep in a pile of them, trying to get those points to line up just right. ๐ These blocks had more than a few, and while I did my best to be careful, a few of my points definitely wandered off. If youโve been there too, know that youโre not alone! One tip Iโve been leaning into is trimming each HST after pressingโeven if I think I nailed itโjust to be sure everythingโs nice and square before sewing it into the block. It makes a big difference!
Here’s a half square triangle demo for you.
Fabrics I’m using:
- Blocks – Jellybean Meadow fabric collection – I just grabbed a fat quarter bundle of all (20) fabrics
- Background – Kona Snow
