First pic is from the lovely Julie of @jules.sewsandquilts . Squee! I am crazy for Julie’s colors and the softness of her quilt. 😍
🤎
Second pic is from sweet Roni of @clearcreekquilts . I love that she made hers in all solids, everything about it pops. I’m also loving the design with all the “claws” in the same fabric.
🤎
I am LOVING seeing all of these! 🐻🐻🐻🐻 and just love seeing how the look changes depending on the maker. Everyone has their own style and the differences make everything more interesting and fun. Don’t you think?! ☺️
For those asking, we have restocked more bundles o For those asking, we have restocked more bundles of Funshine (shown in this quilt) for #sugarbearquilt over @meanderandmake . We had to change three of the fabrics, but it’s still so pretty and orange! There’s also a background option if you are interested. If you click a background option on the site it will show you what these fabrics look like with that background, which is so helpful when you are as obsessed with shades of white solids like me. ☺️
Two things. 1️⃣ I’ve teamed up with @letsqui Two things. 1️⃣ I’ve teamed up with @letsquiltalong and am giving away a $25 gift voucher from Meander + Make. Go to her latest post and it has rules and instructions. 2️⃣ there’s a free pdf download on my blog today for the #scrappy9patchquilt .

Quilt Reveal – Hand Cut Heart Quilt #6

I have way too many scraps. SO. MANY. SCRAPS. You just can’t throw them away.  Heaven forbid. But if you are not using them they pile up quicker than itty bitty kittens. The trick is to use them quickly, but who can keep up with that? I got a quilt order for my Hand Cut Heart quilt. You remember it?  Here and here. I was so happy to make it. My red/ pink basket of scraps was spewing out on all sides. And I got to dig through the low volume stash. A favorite pastime of mine. I have a...

Monday is all About Fabric #7 – Sleeping Porch by Heather Ross

Heather Ross is the only fabric designer that I have a special basket for. It’s set apart from all the rest of the fabrics.  Even the scraps do not get put in the scrap baskets.  They have their own place too. There is a reason why… Heather Ross fabrics are awesome. I don’t use them that much.  I’ve been trying to force myself to use them more, but it almost hurts to cut into them.  I just like to occasionally pull them out and pet them (although I have recently cut quite a bit of my stash for a...

Wandering Quilt – Rebecca’s Dandelion quilt + an update on my honey bee quilt

Just in case you are not familiar with traveling quilts here is the idea:  Each member of your group creates a starter block and usually writes a journal with details, theme and style they would like their quilt to end up.  You send your starter block to another member in your group (usually there is a list, and you send it to the next lady on the list), they have a month to add on to your starter block and get your quilt going.  Then, they send it to the next woman on the list and so on and...

Reveal & Pattern Review – Amy Butler’s The Weekender travel bag

Today’s post is a part of a series called The Quilt Maker’s Toolkit, showing and teaching about the products I use while I make my quilts. There are no products in this series that I do not use and use often, though sometimes my opinions may change as I grow and move along in my journey of quilt making.  To view all posts in this series click here.       What do you think of when you are thinking of the greatest feat when it comes to making a quilt? Is it a Lone Star quilt?  Maybe one...

Quilt Reveal – Hexagon Quilt #5

I feel like I am making this quilt every few weeks now.  It’s popular in my shop.  And I just really love it.  Particular today’s version of it. So in this version, my customer chose 10 different fabrics, but I added to those fabrics to give it more of a smidgen of scrappy feel. I think she wanted scrappy, but she didn’t. So, things are a little more matchy matchy here.  Which is good too! This is the large throw version of this quilt.  And just in case you haven’t followed my blog for long, I have a tutorial...

Quilt Finish – Star Dance Quilt

I’ve been working on this quilt all of last week.  Not the one you see above my sewing machine, that’s a WIP, but the one you see at my machine. It’s a simple block, but I had to make 81 of them for a king size quilt, so it took me a bit. Here are a few of my favorite blocks: This one is for a custom order I have and the colors requested were pink, green, turquoise and navy.  I am digging the fabrics I pulled for this one.  Lots and lots of florals. The block measures 12.5″ unfinished....
