I finally got the Dresden attached, and seeing it sitting on that quilted background made me ridiculously happy. All those little blades, all that straight line quilting, and now it actually looks like the quilt I’ve been seeing in my head.
I went with the traditional method on this one, top stitching around the edges and stitching in the ditch between the blades. It takes a little more stopping and starting, but I really love the definition it gives the Dresden.
And yes, I definitely spent some time just standing there looking at it before moving on 😅

I think this might be my favorite part of the whol I think this might be my favorite part of the whole quilt 💛 And I know I took way too many pics, but... there’s just something about sewing all those little blades together and suddenly having a Dresden plate in your hands. I'm dying.
