I’ve been free motion quilting since 2018 and it h I’ve been free motion quilting since 2018 and it has been the slowest part of the quilting journey for me. It did not come naturally. I practiced through a lot of very ugly stitching before anything started to look the way I imagined it could.I keep seeing comments like “I could never do this,” and I just want to say… I used to think that too. I was you. It really does change if you keep going, even when it feels like it’s not working.Thank you for all the love on this piece this week. It feels like I finally hit a little milestone with my quilting, and that’s a pretty special feeling. ❤️

1 minute of the FMQ process at 1.5x speed. I start 1 minute of the FMQ process at 1.5x speed. I started at the bottom making a curving line to the top and back down again.
