Getting ready to free motion quilt? Come sit with me at my quilting machine, and I'll show you the tools and supplies I use to quilt my quilts! Trying new things. 🙃 Teaching over at Quilty Class has been pushing me, tbh. . I did not like the Peace Lily design at all, but the feathered leaf 😍. I’m on the fence about the tiny hook flowers as a filler. I like the tornados, but much prefer my swirls and pebbles over them. . I’m getting a new class ready now for a 5-quilt FMQ series. Wish me luck!
We've officially wrapped up the Lulu Louise Quilty Class, and I'm sharing a look at everything we made and learned along the way! In this video, I'm showing you both of my finished Lulu Louise quilts and taking you behind the scenes of the class, from cutting fabrics and strip piecing to free motion quilting two completely different designs. Lulu Louise is a beginner-friendly quilt pattern featuring a beautiful V-shaped design created with simple, efficient strip piecing. The pattern includes three sizes: baby, throw, and bed. And once the quilt tops are finished, that's where the fun really begins! **Our first Lulu Louise quilt** is made with Pretty Please fabrics. For this version, we quilted flowing feathers through the foreground and S-curves in the background. **Our second Lulu Louise quilt** features Happy Home fabrics. We tried something completely different with this one, using straight line quilting, ruler-guided scallops, and playful free motion flowers and leaves.
