How to Make the Block
Start by cutting your fabric according to directions in the video. The key to this design is creating precise half square triangles. Sew two squares together diagonally, cut them apart, and press them open. Once your HSTs are trimmed, you’ll arrange them with your solid squares to form the Puss in the Corner layout. Sew the pieces into rows, press, and stitch the rows together.
Tips for Accuracy
- Use a scant ¼-inch seam to keep everything fitting together perfectly.
- Press, don’t iron—too much movement can stretch your fabric.
