Dilly Dally Blocks 25 + 26:

The Challenge Is Real ๐Ÿ˜…

The next two Dilly Dally blocks are here! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Blocks 25 and 26 just went live over in Quilt Class, and Iโ€™m not even going to pretendโ€”these were tough. Honestly, I think theyโ€™ve been the most challenging ones in the whole quilt so far.

That saidโ€ฆ theyโ€™re also some of the most beautiful. If youโ€™re up for a bit of a stretch and want to show off that skill youโ€™ve been building block by block, these two are going to feel so satisfying once youโ€™ve got them done.

Iโ€™ve updated the pattern to include both blocks, and there are full video lessons now waiting for you inside Quilt Class. Youโ€™ll also find a few pics from my process (aka proof that I lost a few points on my HSTsโ€”but hey, thatโ€™s how it goes sometimes, right? ๐Ÿ˜…).

The goal isnโ€™t perfectionโ€”itโ€™s progress and joy in the making. Always. ๐Ÿ’•

About HSTs

Half-square triangles (HSTs) have a way of looking simpleโ€ฆ until you’re deep in a pile of them, trying to get those points to line up just right. ๐Ÿ˜… These blocks had more than a few, and while I did my best to be careful, a few of my points definitely wandered off. If youโ€™ve been there too, know that youโ€™re not alone! One tip Iโ€™ve been leaning into is trimming each HST after pressingโ€”even if I think I nailed itโ€”just to be sure everythingโ€™s nice and square before sewing it into the block. It makes a big difference!

Here’s a half square triangle demo for you.
