Monday is All About Fabric – #114 – Fresh Citrus

Today’s post is part of a series on this blog every Monday.

I don’t know about you, but fabric is EVERYTHING!  I love buying it, petting it and then gushing with you about it.  I’ll show you my latest fabric purchases and where you can buy it too.

You asked for a bundle for the Ruby Beatrice quilt, so I’m delivering!  I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit bummed.  I like this bundle more than the one I’m currently using to make another Ruby Beatrice quilt.  I guess I could always make another!  Wink, wink.  🙂

It’s so fresh and citrus-y!!  Could somebody get me a pink lemonade, please?  Chop, chop!

I think my thing for gold is starting to show!  I was going to use this bundle for my Little Miss quilt, but then I decided let’s just do gold on gold on gold for that one.

This bundle has been created especially for the Ruby Beatrice quilt pattern.  The large throw size pattern asks for 10 half yards.  Not included in this bundle is all the background fabric.  If I was going to use this for another Ruby Beatrice, I’m thinking I’d want gray as my secondary background.  What are you thinking?

This Week

I totally and disappointingly dropped the ball last week and never put up any quilt reveal post.  I’m sorry!  My hands have been full and I’ve found myself doing massive amounts of procrastinating instead of pushing myself.  I did somehow manage to get all the PDFs done for the quilt along this fall and I even got it to my testers.  My own tests and video tutorials are about to start, if I can get my fanny into action.   There will be a post this Wednesday featuring my latests Ruby Beatrice quilt, I promise (I’ve already written it).  🙂

On Friday, we will have the very last of the Bad Girl quilt along.  I am devastated that this one is over.  Y’all are the most fun group of quilters in the world and have kept me clapping and gushing the whole time.  Thanks for always being supportive.

I’ve got homework for you.  Well, not really homework.  I’ve just got a question to ask.  Do you subscribe to any quilting magazines?  Do you like them?  Why do you subscribe?

Two last bits here:  One, if you are from the US, Happy 4th week!  From Canada?  Happy Canada Day!  Two, signups to the Little Miss Sawtooth quilt will be available on July 10 (I think that’s a Wednesday).  🙂

  1. What am I thinking, you ask? I’m thinking you have an incredible talent for curating fabric patterns. I just ordered a glorious citrus-y bundle – one of the prettiest bundles I’ve ever seen! Thank you, Melanie. 🙂
