Chapter 2 of Quilt as Desired is Now Available 🧵

Chapter 2 of the Quilt as Desired class is now live, and this section is all about building foundational movement for free motion quilting. If you took Chapter 1 and felt excited but unsure where to begin, this new chapter is your gentle nudge forward. These lessons are designed to help you learn through movement, repetition, and practice, nothing rigid or intimidating, just slow growth at your own pace.
The beauty of free motion quilting is that you learn it with your hands, not just your eyes. It’s muscle memory. The more often you sit at your machine, even if it’s just for ten minutes here and there, the more comfortable it becomes. Chapter 2 gives you four beginner-friendly designs that form the base for so many quilting motifs.

What You’ll Learn in Chapter 2
In this chapter you’ll find four skill-building lessons:
- Lesson 5: Basic Meander
A relaxed, wandering line that helps you loosen up and learn flow. - Lesson 6: Easy Loops
Perfect for practicing curves and gentle rhythm. - Lesson 7: Pebbles Trio
Three-stone clusters that teach control, spacing, and stitch consistency. - Lesson 8: Swirls
A movement pattern that looks fancy, but starts with simple muscle memory.
These designs are small, approachable, and perfect for steady practice. You can stitch one a day, rotate through them, or stay with your favorite for a while. There is no wrong rhythm here. The goal is simply to show up and stitch, wobbles, uneven spacing, messy areas and all. That’s how confidence happens.
