Introducing the Swayful Quilt and Quilty Class

I’m so excited to finally share Swayful with you.

In today’s video, I’m introducing the quilt, sharing what inspired the design, and giving you a look at what we’ll be doing together inside Quilty Class.

Swayful began with a simple idea: I wanted to play with the look of a knot and see if I could create movement across an entire quilt top. As the blocks rotate and connect, the design begins linking from block to block, creating a woven effect that becomes more noticeable as the quilt grows.

One of my favorite things about Swayful is that it looks much more complicated than it actually is. The quilt is built from repeated units and simple snowball construction, making it approachable for confident beginners while still creating a striking finished design.

Another favorite feature is the border. Rather than feeling separate from the quilt, it continues the movement all the way to the edges and helps frame the design beautifully.

Quilt Sizes

The Swayful pattern includes three sizes:

• 32″ x 44″
• 68″ x 68″
• 80″ x 92″

The pattern is also fat quarter friendly for the foreground fabrics, making it a great option for pulling from your stash or planning a coordinated bundle.

Inside the Swayful Quilty Class

We’ll be making the quilt top together step by step inside Quilty Class.

Throughout the class, I’ll walk you through:

• Fabric placement and organization
• Using the paper plate method
• Constructing all four units
• Assembling the Swayful blocks
• Building the border units
• Laying out the quilt top
• Assembling the finished quilt top

The Swayful pattern is included with the class, so you’ll have everything you need to follow along.
