I had to make a few more deer blocks for pillow shams and used this pattern above. Another paper piecing pattern. This one came from During Quiet Time via Craftsy. Find the pattern here.
I like making shams. A thousand times easier than a quilt and go a long way in sprucing up a room. Not sure why I don’t make more. Maybe I will soon.
In Thursday’s post, I showed you the quilt almost completed. I ended with a picture of me quilting it, so all that was left was squaring up and binding.
I added a dark border because it was requested by my quilt buyer. My favorite parts of this quilt is the orange peel vine and that smidgen of low volume between the stag and the turquoise sawtooth star.
