Anthologie Quilt – Working on Mod Tulips – #8
The posts in this series are all part of the pattern, Anthologie. These are not tutorials or how to videos, but are of me making this quilt. It’s meant to be similar to a self guided quilt along and hopefully feel like we are making this quilt together (even if you are finding this years later). Do tag me on Instagram (@southerncharmquilts)! I’d love to see what you do with it. 🙂

I love these little tulip blocks. They are basically quarter or corner log cabins, whichever you prefer to call them. They make up the leftmost part of Anthologie quilt. If you made Anthologie with me back in 2017, know that these have been resized to make them easier to make and there is a generous amount of space around the points, making it even easier not to cut those points off (if of course that is something you worry about like me :)). Let’s dig in!
Fabric I’m Using
- Gloria’s Back Porch
- Grunge in Vanilla
- Blooming Brook Sol
- Field in Suede
- Speckled in Sunstone
- Meadow Trinkets
- Pindot in Raspberry
- Aerial Blush
- Blossom in Honey
Basically, all of the fabrics I’ve already used in the quilt. These are all scraps from the fabrics I’ve cut in some of the other sections.
Mod Tulips Working Video
Video Summary
I start out this video with all of my pieces for each of my blocks all separated out. There’s a separate video tutorial for how to make these, so I don’t go into it here on this one. I do get them all pieced in a column though and we also end up doing a teensy amount of quilt building too. At the end of the video, I show what my quilt looks like so far on my design wall and think about some of the fabrics that need a bit more scattering.

Oh, I’m loving this so much. I can’t stop squealing. I’m getting a bit ahead of myself and already planning on how I’ll quilt her up. Still have the whole right side of the quilt and the very top to work on though. Hope you are having a lovely day!
