How to Make a Quilted Pillow with Envelope Closure – FREE PATTERN
A New Freebie
I’ve been wanting to write a slew of quilted pillow patterns, and I’m gonna! BUT FIRST, I’m offering up a free PDF pattern on how to turn any quilt block into a quilted pillow. There’s also a video below just in case you need a visual!
About the Pillow
I’m using my Bohippian pillow (pattern here), but this tutorial is not for the pillow. It’s for turning any old or new quilt block into a pillow and exact instructions on how to do it.
DOWNLOAD THE PATTERN FROM THE Free Pattern Library with all the measurements for all the pillow pieces FOR MANY DIFFERENT BLOCK SIZES.
If you need the password for the Free Pattern Library, you’ll find it any/all of my Southern Charm Quilt newsletters. Do a quick search of your inbox for my last email. If you are not yet subscribed, sign up here. You’ll be sent the password immediately (check your spam if you don’t receive it immediately).
Supplies and Tutorials shown in video
- Fabrics – I’m using mostly Cinnamon Tea fabrics and also a little bit of Earthy Goodness fabrics.
- Batting – Warm & Natural
- Binding – I used DMC #8 thread and I used THIS TUTORIAL for the chunky binding.
- Rotary cutter – From Havel’s Sewing (affiliate link)
