And that is a wrap on the Light in the Dark mini q And that is a wrap on the Light in the Dark mini quilt class. I had SO MUCH making this little lovely with you. And just so glad for the push to start including the FMQ demos in these classes as well. THANK YOU! 🙏 Not sure I would be adding that to all future classes without that push. 🩷 These pics will show you that border much better. I swear scallops are my new favorite. I doubt I ever get away from freely doodling all over but some precision ruler work quilting here and there really puts the polish on a project.

If you missed making this one with us, it’s still available as a self paced class at quiltyclass.com

We are wrapping up this class over at quiltyclass.com and I used Happy Home fabrics again. ☺️
I've been thinking a lot about Quilty Club lately, I've been thinking a lot about Quilty Club lately, and I realized I may not have been explaining it very well.

I talk a LOT about the classes because, I'm usually in the middle of teaching one.

But Quilty Club isn't just for quilters who need a class.

When you join, there's already a whole library waiting for you, including around 15 patterns you can download right away. If you've been quilting for years, you can grab the patterns you want and head straight to your sewing machine.

And if you want a little help? That's there, too. The complete classes, demos, workshops, quilting lessons, and finishing techniques are all included.

Plus, Quilty Club members save 10% every time they shop at Meander + Make.

Sew along with me or sew completely on your own. Either way, you're welcome here. 💕

Chapter 2 of the Light in the Dark Mini Quilt Clas Chapter 2 of the Light in the Dark Mini Quilt Class is ready!

This is the chapter where we really get into making the quilt. We’ll start with the little 9-patch in the center, then move into the HRTs that make up the star points. I’ll show you my favorite way to trim HRTs using washi tape and a few Sharpie dots on your ruler. It makes the whole process so much easier.

And because quilting rarely goes exactly as planned, my star ended up slightly off when I got to the borders. I left all of that in the class. We work through what to do when things don’t line up perfectly and how to get everything where it needs to be without immediately reaching for the seam ripper.

By the end of this chapter, the whole Light in the Dark mini quilt top is finished and ready for quilting.
