All About Scrappy Binding + Coin Quilt #2 (quilt reveal)

The other day I asked you about scrappy binding on Instagram.  I was surprised how even things were on this topic.  There were many who loved it, many who did not, and many who had never heard of it. Today I’m going into details about where the scrappy binding comes from, how to make it…

Monday is all about Fabric – #57 – A Turquoise AGF Bundle

Hello, fabric lovers! I think I’ve already wrote about the green happening everywhere around here as Spring comes into full bloom and I’ve got a bundle that’s bringing that green inside.  Oh, and let’s not forget the aqua and the blue, and as always, the low volume.  I’m thinking about how great this bundle would…

A Quilt Maker’s Tale – #5 – A Meet Up of 2 friends + 2 quilts

My grandmother could pull any quilt from her closet (that’s where she kept them) and tell you something about it.  One time she pulled one down for me and told me where each fabric had come from, some were clothing that her children had worn.  She remembered every piece.  Every quilt maker has a story…

I love that moment you start seeing the green sprigs coming out everyday and then you blink and suddenly green is everywhere.  Blink again and we are blanketed in…

Let me just squeal for a minute here……… (insert squealing and hand clapping!) I am so excited to get these!  That’s an understatement if I ever said one. But wait, first things first.  Go make your tea (or coffee), get comfortable, and cover yourself with a quilt.  Ready?  Let’s gush! Today we are talking about…

Anthologie Quilt (quilt reveal)

I am thrilled with the completion of this quilt. Making a quilt with such a large group is an amazing way to get your quilting on. This is my Anthologie quilt that I made from October 2018 to the end of March 2018. It was part of the #BariJQuiltAlong and took place on Bari’s…

Now I just make them a little bigger and trim them down, the same way we do half square triangles. So much easier. So much cleaner. Being open to changing your method… even after years of doing it one way matters.Photo 2: And this paper plate system? I didn’t expect to love it this much. One plate per block. Everything I need, all in one spot. If I have time for one block, I grab one plate. If I have time for three, I grab three. Less mess. Less digging. More sewing. quiltyclass.com

Each plate represents every piece needed for a single block. Super helpful for Soulshine since the blocks have a gazillion pieces! quiltyclass.comCabinet from @arrowsewing
