Monday is all about fabric #32 – Wild Bloom
It’s Monday again, and what better way to start the week than than to gush about fabric. It’s definitely my favorite.
Today we have a very colorful bundle with lots and lots of florals! I’m talking about Wild Bloom by Bari J. Yah! Isn’t that a happy bundle of fabrics? Let’s have a better look!
You can purchase this whole bundle from Needle in a Fabric Stash right here.
At the link above you can purchase by fat eight, fat quarter or half yard bundles. OR purchase your favorite individual prints here.
As I’m sure you can guess, this one is my favorite. Anybody know why? Why yes, yes it is a low volume! Y’all saw that coming didn’t ya? This print is called Lively Rosebuds in crystal.
There is also some tonals to help fill out all these florals. The teal and orange in the above pic are hollering out for some hand stitching on all those tiny lines. Have a better look here.
I’m happy to include these in my stash. Something special is going to be made with them….but until that announcement here’s just a little something I’ve been playing with this past weekend with some scraps from Wild Bloom.
I ordered myself some Sashiko needles from here. I’ve never used them before and normally just use a standard quilting needle when I hand quilt which is not very often, but I wanted to try this needle and I just loved it. It makes hand quilting a little easier (for me anyway). It’s much longer than a standard needle and I could do my little running stitch much easier.
I made a new little pincushion. Sometimes it’s nice to just finish something small within an hour.
