The Soulshine Quilt Class Is Coming This February
I’ve been working on something new behind the scenes, and I’m so excited to finally share it with you. This February, we’ll be starting a brand new quilting class focused on the Soulshine Quilt, a beginner-friendly star quilt designed to feel joyful, approachable, and satisfying to make.
The Soulshine Quilt is made up of two blocks, the Shine Block and the Soul Block. Together, they create a playful star design with plenty of open space to let your quilting shine. You can choose to make this quilt in a scrappy version using fat quarters for the foreground or a modern version using a small set of coordinated fabrics. Both options are fully supported in the class.
One thing that makes this class a little different is that we’re not stopping once the quilt top is finished. We’ll be quilting the quilt together, talking through quilting the foreground and background in different ways to add texture and interest. This class goes a bit deeper into quilting than I usually do, and I’m really looking forward to exploring that with you.
We’ll begin around February 15 and continue through March, moving at a relaxed pace. This is not a quilt-along with strict deadlines. You’ll be able to work through the lessons on your own schedule, batch blocks in a way that works for you, and take your time enjoying the process.
This class is a great fit if you:
- Want a supportive, beginner-friendly project
- Want to build confidence with flying geese and block construction
- Enjoy scrappy quilts, modern quilts, or both
- Want to learn more about quilting foreground and background differently
