Good Girl Quilt #8 – in Rattan – Quilt Reveal

Good Girl Quilt Well I’m done. It took me a week or so to hand quilt it. I was shockingly surprised at how much I enjoyed that part. I only worked on it in the evenings after dinner, but every day I looked forward to it. There I sat on the sofa, Netflix on, snuggled…

In Chapter 3, we work on three designs that are id In Chapter 3, we work on three designs that are ideal for borders and sashing:Swirls in a borderSwirls are a classic FMQ design, but they are not the easiest to master. When I first started quilting, my swirls were always a little too pointy or just kind of strange looking. Honestly, mine still sometimes come out a little funky. That’s okay. We stitch anyway and keep building that rounded movement.Ribbon candyRibbon candy is beautiful and traditional, but let’s just say it can feel a bit hard. We try a looser approach too, and I show you a version I used in the borders of my Dilly Dally quilt that I absolutely love.Wishbone loopsWishbones are a personal favorite. I usually quilt them as a filler, especially inside flower centers. In this chapter, we take that familiar design and try it in a border space to give it a new role.Join in at Quilty Club - http://www.quiltyclub.com/
