Hello, hello. I hope your holiday week was as lovely as can be. Instead of the usual Monday is All About Fabric post, I’ll be sharing my year in review. I did this last year too. It’s good to look back and remember all that we accomplished, I think. I know I like to remember!
Missing from this list is all the commissioned wedding and memory quilts. I don’t take pictures of them and I never post them on the blog, so I’m not including them here.
Enough rambling, let’s get going. This is going to be a ridiculously long post.

January
My first post of 2019 was about the Paradise Fire quilts that we made together. Quilters from all over the world sent me any block they wanted from the Little Miss Sawtooth quilt. There were so many blocks, I was able to make three quilts. One of the quilts was queen size for Rochelle ( a fellow quilter ) and the other two were smaller and for her children. Y’all sent so many blocks that I made the quilts and still had blocks leftover, which I ended up donating to another quilter that needed to make blocks for another cause.
My next completed quilt in January was my 5th version of Little Miss Sawtooth again! It was very scrappy and in all shades of purple. This one was a commissioned quilt.
I also made my very first version of Bad Girl. I’m still so in love with this quilt and pattern, but I did end up selling this particular quilt. Oh, I’ve got a little surprise for this quilt coming out February. I can’t tell you yet. It’s forbidden. 🙂 BUT it’s going to make making this quilt much easier!

February brought the end to the I am Enough quilt along with this last post, and also the beginning of the Carolina Mingle quilt along with choosing fabrics and making star points.
I went to my first Quilt Con in February and met friends that I knew online. It was a good month!
March
I finished my I am Enough quilt in March. This is one of my most favorite quilts I’ve made, and I had such a great time during this quilt along.

I released the Ruby Beatrice pattern as well. And the biggest thing during this month that I made Meander + Make an actual fabric shop and got serious with it after months of just stewing around.

Diagonal Seam Tape is a perfect solution for sewing straight diagonal seams without having to mark any lines! The special washi tape is strong, thin, and removes cleanly after sewing projects. Simply place the tape in front of the feed dogs with the red line in front of the needle as the stitch line. The black lines on either side of the center line represent a perfect 1/4″ seam allowance and are a great resource to use when making half square triangles, or learning to keep a perfect 1/4″. Each roll is 10 yards.
Melanie’s Tip: I wrote a blog post with video tutorial about this product here.
August
I finished my 8th version of Little Miss this month. I used it for making all the videos during the quilt along, but it was also a very well timed commission quilt.

Patchwork + Quilt (a class for learning to quilt)
Are you learning to piece quilts? Are your blocks the wrong size, wonky, or leaving you frustrated?
I designed this course to help with all those hair pulling moments and more. There’s video tutorials every step of the way as I walk you through making a quilt. Maybe this is your first quilt or maybe you are just frustrated and need to take a class to help you learn the correct way of piecing. This class has everything! It also comes with two quilt patterns. Click the tab below to find out more!
September
I don’t have any quilt finishes in September, but I did finish this runner. It was one of my projects from Michael Miller. My ambassadorship runs out this coming February, but I had a good time getting fabric surprises in the mail from them all 2019.

October
I finished my 3rd Trippy in October. I feel like this is where all my love of gold really showed itself. 🙂
Next I finished my 4th Migration quilt. My very favorite version of this quilt yet and I REALLY want to make this one again! I just gifted this quilt to my sister in law for Christmas.
I also finished my very first version of Tea Time. I’m absolutely in love with this quilt, but though I haven’t sold it yet, I do have it for sale here. This momma has two kids in college and am spending a small fortune on it. I’m not happy about having to sale this one, but you get it I’m sure.
I released my third pattern this year Scrappy Pattern Pack, which included all three of the quilts mentioned this month.

December
I’ve not posted any of my quilt finishes in December, there’s only been Para Para and I only finished it moments ago. Ha! So while I’m counting it as a 2019 finish, I’ve not posted about it yet. I will be showing it to you very soon though. I have posted about it’s progress here and here.

So that is it for my 2019. One thing I will be doing a little differently next year is keeping a monthly list of personal highlights too. I’m not good with keeping up with the personal as well as the quilty. Haha.
I hope your 2019 was the bestest! Thank you for spending this year with me for quilty stuff and I hope to see you next year too. Later this week, I’ll be talking about plans and goals for 2019. Hugs!
