Holding Light Mini Quilt Class: Chapter 4 — Finishing the Mini

In the Holding Light Mini Quilt Class, Chapter 4 is where everything comes together. This is the final step, taking your quilt from something you have been working on to something you can actually hang and enjoy.
These last lessons are simple, but they are what turn your mini quilt into a finished piece.
Adding Corner Pockets
In Lesson 11, we add corner pockets to the back of the quilt.
This is one of my favorite ways to finish a mini quilt because it is clean, simple, and works beautifully for hanging. The pockets hold your dowel in place without taking away from the front of the quilt, so your design stays the focus.
It is a small step, but it makes all the difference in how your quilt is used and displayed.
Hanging Your Mini Quilt
In the final lesson, we hang the mini quilt.
Once your dowel is in place, this is the moment where it all feels finished. Seeing your quilt up on the wall, instead of folded or stacked somewhere, is such a satisfying part of the process.
There is something really special about taking a project from start to finish and giving it a place in your home.

A Finished Mini Quilt
Chapter 4 of the Holding Light Mini Quilt Class is short and simple, but it is where everything pays off.
You have pieced it, quilted it, and now you have something small, beautiful, and completely finished. Ready to hang, ready to enjoy, and ready to be part of your growing collection of mini quilts.
