The Lulu Louise Quilt Pattern Is Here!
Lulu Louise is officially here! 💕
This quilt has been part of my quilt room for quite a while. I originally designed Lulu Louise for my book A Life With Quilts, and I’ve made it again and again over the years.
For this new standalone release, I went back to the original design and gave it a little refresh. The pattern now includes three sizes, a simpler and more efficient strip-piecing method, and bonus pages with even more ideas for making Lulu Louise your own.
And today, the new Lulu Louise quilt pattern is officially available!

Meet Lulu Louise
Lulu Louise is one of those quilts that looks like there’s a lot happening, but the construction is wonderfully simple.
The quilt uses 14 foreground fabrics plus a background, and the foreground fabrics create that beautiful movement through the center of the quilt. It’s a really fun pattern for playing with color and value. Arrange the fabrics from light to dark, reverse them from dark to light, work within a single color family, or pull together a mix of favorite prints.
There are so many ways to make this quilt feel completely different.
Three Quilt Sizes
The new Lulu Louise quilt pattern includes three sizes:
Crib – 38″ × 48″
Throw – 57″ × 72″
Bed – 76″ × 96″
The pattern is beginner-friendly and uses simple, efficient strip piecing to build the foreground of the quilt.
If you’ve never tried strip piecing before, Lulu Louise is a lovely place to start.
Choose a PDF or Paper Pattern
Whether you like having a printed pattern beside your sewing machine or prefer downloading a PDF and getting started right away, Lulu Louise is available in both PDF and paper formats.
And if you’d rather skip the fabric choosing altogether, I’ve put together Lulu Louise quilt kits, too.
You can find the patterns and all of the currently available kits together at Meander + Make:

Want to Make Lulu Louise With Me?
There’s also a Lulu Louise Quilty Class beginning September 14!
We’ll make the quilt together using the new strip-piecing method, and then we’ll move into free-motion quilting. I’ll be quilting feathers through the foreground and S-curves through the background, all with hand-guided free-motion quilting.
The pattern is included with the class, and the class is self-paced, with new lessons being added throughout September and October.
JOIN THE LULU LOUISE QUILTY CLASS
And if you’re already part of Quilty Club, the Lulu Louise class and pattern are included with your membership.
I hope Lulu Louise inspires a little color play and plenty of happy stitching. I can’t wait to see the version you make!

I hope you leave here feeling inspired to make something you love and enjoy every little stitch along the way. 💕
