If I’m not mistaken Good Girl is the second quilt pattern I ever wrote. It’s the perfect pattern for a beginner to take on and learn how to sew a quilt top, but also a great quilt if you are sitting on top of strip scraps.

Beginnings
Good Girl is my best selling pattern on Facebook. For some reason that I don’t know it sells well over there. It was time for me to re-order the pattern and I got to looking at it and decided that it could use a refresher. So I rewrote it in my current pattern writing style and made the quilt above. Everything about the pattern is the same, just better instructions.
The above is a bit different than I normally make Good Girl. I usually stick with a monochromatic look. I think Good Girl looks best like that, but I REALLY wanted to use my Earthy Goodness fabrics as a whole. I didn’t have quite enough of them, so I’ve added in a few extra fabrics.
This top (60″ square) took me about 3-4 hours to make and that included cutting time. It’s quick!
The Plan
I’m sending the pattern to testers in the next day or two and will be making up a monochrome version of Good Girl soon. I expect the pattern to release early November.

I’m not sure what I’ll do with the quilting yet, but probably an all over design. I’m using this new wide back for backing and this fabric for my binding. So excited!
Good Girl is written for scraps. Width of fabric strips in particular. Think about anything from a jelly roll to less than a quarter yard. Most of the foreground in this quilt was made using actual scraps from my yardage.
