How to Strip Piece + Use the Stripology Ruler – Video Tutorial
I’m currently working on a new quilt pattern called the Inner Beauty quilt. I’m not prepared to tell you anything about it other than that it’s almost all strip pieced. So I wanted to do video tutorial about strip piecing and show you how it’s done.
About two or so months ago, I purchased myself a new ruler, the stripology ruler, and it’s kinda changed my cutting game FOR THE BETTER!
I’m combining those two tutorials today since I have been using my stripology ruler to strip piece.
Hope you enjoy!

Thoughts
I want to be very very clear about the fact that you don’t need the stripology ruler to strip piece. You can use your basic rectangular ruler, but the ruler really does speed up the process. There was a huge learning curve for me when it came to this ruler. The first time I used it, I hated it! That changed as I became more flexible and willing to incorporate it.
I’m always very hesitant about my product recommendations, and I don’t share products with you unless I use them myself. Especially this product because of its price tag, but this ruler has my full attention right now. This probably has something to do with the fact that the quilt I’m working on has so much strip piecing in it that I’m using the ruler at every turn. It has me all excited!
All the blocks within Inner Beauty are strip pieced or partially strip pieced with the exception of the sawtooth stars.
