Hands down my favorite FMQ work I’ve ever done. 🥳 Hands down my favorite FMQ work I’ve ever done. 🥳 Matchstick quilting is my new favorite thing.

Last chance to get the Happy Home fabrics during the pre-order discount period is the end of August.
Chapter 2 of the Light in the Dark Mini Quilt Clas Chapter 2 of the Light in the Dark Mini Quilt Class is ready!

This is the chapter where we really get into making the quilt. We’ll start with the little 9-patch in the center, then move into the HRTs that make up the star points. I’ll show you my favorite way to trim HRTs using washi tape and a few Sharpie dots on your ruler. It makes the whole process so much easier.

And because quilting rarely goes exactly as planned, my star ended up slightly off when I got to the borders. I left all of that in the class. We work through what to do when things don’t line up perfectly and how to get everything where it needs to be without immediately reaching for the seam ripper.

By the end of this chapter, the whole Light in the Dark mini quilt top is finished and ready for quilting.
