Monday is All About Fabric – #141 – Juniper + Block Pattern Release
Today’s post is part of a series on this blog every Monday.
I don’t know about you, but fabric is EVERYTHING! I love buying it, petting it and then gushing with you about it. I’ll show you my latest fabric purchases and where you can buy it too.

Today will be just a bit different than the usual Monday post. I have a very tiny bundle curated up for the Juniper block to show you today.
So let me get to it! I’ve been rambling on for most of this year about doing a free motion quilting series. I’m calling it How to Quilt It. It’s more of a journey than me just teaching you, because a lot of the designs are new to me too, but I’m working hard at getting good at them. The series will combine quilting designs with just an overall how to of getting from point A to point B, switching between designs, maybe even a little planning.
Here’s how I’m going to work this: Today, I’m showing you the bundle for the Juniper block. You don’t need this bundle to sew and quilt along. I’m sure you have fabrics in your stash that will do, BUT I always make a few up for those of you who like to grab and sew. We’ll be talking about the bundle today and the block pattern. On Wednesday, the post will pop up with a long video tutorial of me quilting it.
Keep scrolling for more details.

The block pattern is just that. A single block pattern. It is only available in PDF form, but is filled with lots of helpful links and video tutorials to help you with putting the block together. The block will measure 18.5″. You can do whatever you want with the block, including making more to form a whole quilt, or you can sew it into a pillow, which is what I’ll be doing with mine.
This Wednesday, as mentioned above, I’ll be giving you the quilting instructions. You can do just as I do, or do your own thing and use the video as just a bit of inspiration to break you out of your usual box. There will be more details next week about turning the quilted block into a pillow. I promise I’ll be more organized with everything the next block release with pillow making instructions already up before the block release. Whew! I’m feeling a bit scattered and rushed, BUT it’s good I promise! It was fun putting everything together for you and my testers did an amazing job with the Juniper block. I’ll show you more of that below.

Here’s a look at some of my testers’ blocks. If you click the individual block, it will take you to their Instagram.
This Week
Wednesday, we’ll be doing the quilting on Juniper. It won’t take long and it’s going to be fun! There are four designs I’ll be showing you. I might have the pillow post up on Thursday, but we’ll see. No promises there. It could be as late as next week. On Friday, week #5 starts for the Para Para quilt along and we’ll be making Sweet Spot blocks.
Have a lovely week!
