Bohippian Quilt – Work in Progress #2 – 70s Vibes
I’m finally done with the second round for my Bohippian quilt. I talked about Bohippian last in this progress post. It’s taken me two months to get the White Linen hexies on. I’m thinking I must be really slow, but I’m working an hour or two mostly daily while bingeing whatever show I’m bingeing and a few road trips as well. It’s just slow work. Slow work that I am absolutely in love with doing.

I’m looking forward to this next round, the Georgia Peach. And I’ve got a nice stack of hexies all basted up. I’ll probably baste until I run out of the paper pieces and then start sewing them on. That’s been my go to method so far since there is just no possible way for me to have enough paper pieces.
Here’s the fabrics I’m using:
- Pure solid in White Linen (my favorite white)
- Speckled in Cactus
- Pure solid in Georgia Peach
- Bristling Balmy
I am writing a pattern for this quilt and it’s going to be kind of like a workbook where you can mark things complete and stay organized. Since every block/unit(?) isn’t the same it can sometimes be tricky and it’s something that I struggled with on my first GFG quilt (the one I never finished). I want to know exactly what pieces are needed, so I don’t go and sew an entire round of hexies that I’m going to have to remove later. That can be very annoying/disheartening when you are hand sewing every little bit. That’s what I’m hoping to avoid in this pattern.
I’m toying with making it have multiple sizes, but I don’t know. I was thinking it would be nice to make a baby quilt size, but it will come down to how many pages I’ve got going on in the pattern whether I add that in or not.

Hopefully, I’ll have another update for you on this near the end of January or February. The Georgia Peach round should take longer than White Linen, so……. Fingers crossed I find more time to work on it.
