Good Girl Quilt in Midsummery Fabrics

I just finished up my latest Good Girl Quilt top, and I couldn’t wait to share it with you. This is one of my go-to beginner patterns and one of the first ones I ever wrote. It’s all about simple sewing with big pieces and straight lines. That makes it great for showcasing bold fabrics or large-scale prints, and it comes together quickly too.

Show off those Midsummery prints in all their glory!

In this version, I used my Midsummery fabric collection for the background and pulled in a mix of scrappy white solids for the foreground. It’s a flip from how I’ve traditionally made this quilt, but I love the contrast and soft summer look it creates. This quilt top really lets those pretty prints shine.

💬 Which Wide Back Should I Use?

To finish off this quilt, I’ve picked out two wide backs that pair beautifully with the Midsummery fabrics. Both match the soft, sunny palette and would work perfectly for backing your quilt.

This or that?
👉 Option 1: Midsummery Wide Back in Wild Bloom Drama
👉 Option 2: Midsummery Wide Back in Sunspire Passion
