Introducing the Swayful Quilt Pattern
I’m so excited to finally share the Swayful Quilt Pattern with you.
Swayful began with a simple idea: a knot.
I kept sketching shapes that looked like they were weaving over and under one another, and eventually those sketches grew into the quilt you see here today. The finished design feels connected and full of movement, with shapes that travel across the quilt top and draw your eye from block to block.

A Confident Beginner Quilt Pattern
One of my favorite things about Swayful is that it’s made from just four units.
The construction is straightforward, making it a great project for confident beginners, while the finished quilt creates a design that feels much more intricate than the piecing itself.
The foreground fabrics are fat quarter friendly, making this a wonderful pattern for showcasing a favorite fabric collection.

Inspired by the Idea of a Knot
The inspiration for Swayful came from the idea of shapes weaving over and under one another.
As the blocks come together, the quilt begins to form a connected design that feels both structured and playful. It’s one of those quilts that’s especially fun to watch develop as you move from individual blocks to a finished quilt top.
Seeing Swayful Through Different Fabrics
One of the highlights of any pattern release is seeing what other quilters create.
Every tester brought their own fabric choices and style to Swayful, and I loved seeing how each version took on its own personality while still holding onto the heart of the design.

Swayful Quilty Class – BEGINS JUNE 29
A new quilt is beginning inside Quilty Class. Swayful features a woven knot design created from rotating blocks and simple snowball construction. The pattern is fat quarter friendly for the foreground fabrics and includes a unique border that carries the movement all the way to the edges of the quilt.
We’ll begin on June 29 and work through the quilt top together step-by-step as new lessons are released.
