Evening Walk Quilt Reveal + My New Patchwork + Quilt class for beginners

I feel like I’ve been talking about this for ages.  It’s actually been just a bit over six months.  Still, that is a long time to be working on the exact same thing.  This is my very first online class and it’s for the beginner quilter. It was 2008 when I first started quilting…

Star Dance Quilt – #2 – Quilt Reveal

You might remember that last summer (2018), I hosted a quilt along for Coats + Clark over on their Make it Coats blog.  Such a great experience that was and I learned so much from working with such a big company!  Fingers crossed I get to do it again. Anyway, I’m getting sidetracked!  I…

Little Miss Sawtooth Quilt – #7 – The Coral Romantic Version – Quilt Reveal

So I don’t know what it is about this version of this quilt, but I am finding it one of or the most romantic quilts I’ve ever made.  I guess it’s just the colors, maybe.  The corals and oranges and bits of mint are certainly agreeing with me and the weather we are having…

Little Miss Sawtooth Quilt – #6 – quilt reveal

I hope that you are not getting tired of seeing me make this quilt.  I’m pretty much making one every other month now.  This was a customer requested quilt in blues and greens and low volumes as requested. The best part about this quilt is with the exception of the large low volume squares…

Carolina Mingle Quilt – #3 – Quilt Reveal

I love, love, love doing quilt alongs with y’all.  It really motivates me to stay on track and get things finished.  I was also crazy inspired by these fabrics.  I’m normally not into red, but the navy owned me to the bone and I loved the way the red roses popped from everywhere. Today,…

Just wrapped up quilting the Dilly Dally quilt and Just wrapped up quilting the Dilly Dally quilt and I went all in on the details. ✨ Each block got its own custom design, some ruler work, some tiny free motion textures. In the sashing, I added soft squiggly lines that give it a crinkly, cozy look. But the borders… that’s where I tried something totally new. I marked a curving vine using a dinner plate (yes, really!) and freehanded a feather that snakes all the way around. This was my first time doing a border like this, and I just went for it. Organic, imperfect, but I love it.Swipe through to see all the texture and movement this quilting added to Dilly Dally. 💫#freemotionquilting #dillydallyquilt #quiltingdetails #quiltborder #southerncharmquilts #quiltingmotifs #samplerquilt

There’s no rushing a Dilly Dally quilt. 49 block There’s no rushing a Dilly Dally quilt. 49 blocks means lots of time at the machine, and I loved every minute of it. This pattern has a rhythm to it, a peaceful kind of repetition that lets you sink into the sewing. The kind of project that reminds you it’s okay to slow down and just enjoy the process.I used Jellybean Meadow fabrics for this one. Soft, happy, and playful. And they added just the right spark to every block with those fussy cuts. There’s a quiet joy in watching something grow, one stitch at a time. 💛🧵

If you’ve been eyeing Midsummery, today’s your If you’ve been eyeing Midsummery, today’s your last chance to pre-order! This is one of the prettiest, sunniest fabric lines I’ve worked with. And I couldn’t resist making something fast and fun with it.This is my Good Girl quilt pattern, but reversed! I used Midsummery for the background and kept the foreground in simple whites. Nothing fancy, just a relaxing, easy quilt top that came together in two days.Fabrics: MidsummeryPattern: Good Girl
Another peek at the Dilly Dally quilt. This versio Another peek at the Dilly Dally quilt. This version is stitched up in Jellybean Meadow fabrics, and I’m just about to start quilting it! 💫 Soft and swirly... or maybe a more geometric look? How would you quilt it?
Sunday is the last day to pre-order the Midsummery Sunday is the last day to pre-order the Midsummery fabric collection. If you've been thinking about grabbing it, now’s the time. It’s full of soft, happy tones that feel easy to mix and use, really versatile and just pretty. I am so into that periwinkle!I’m using it in a Good Girl quilt right now and just finished all the blocks. Did them all in one day. That’s how you know I was into it. Can’t wait to get this one stitched up.
Lately I’ve been reminding myself that things do Lately I’ve been reminding myself that things don’t have to happen fast to be good. Letting things unfold in their own way without pushing. There’s a peace in the slow parts. And a lot of learning, too. 🩵 This is my Dilly Dally quilt in Tiny Terrazzo fabrics. Soft colors, scattered prints, and a joy in every block. It came together at a steady pace, and I loved every minute of the process.
